Frasers Group's fashion CEO Pateras exits after successful integration of acquired brands

Greg Pateras, the fashion CEO at Frasers Group has left the company after just under a year. He’d been in charge of acquired Manchester-based brands Misguided and I Saw It First and had focused on repositioning them for future profitability, as well as merging the two operations, integrating them into the wider Frasers Group platform and moving into a new head office.

On LinkedIn he posted: “We have achieved so much! A sale, restructuring and a merger! Whilst we have known this day is coming, it’s always emotional to say goodbye to a talented bunch who have given me so much.”

He’d been CEO at I Saw It First when Frasers bought it last summer and before that was COO and deputy CEO at Matalan where he led its digital turnaround. He’d also been CFO at The Very Group.

Frasers acquired Misguided out of administration a year ago and bought I Saw It First shortly after. The company clearly felt it needed the online fashion experience Pateras brought to the table and kept him on, adding Misguided to his responsibilities shortly after.

The latter is now available both in-store and online via another Frasers Group retailer — House of Fraser — while I saw It First is also on the HoF webstore.

Frasers continues to have its eye on acquisition opportunities and since its Missguided/I Saw It First purchases has also bought Gieves & Hawkes, MySale and Sneakerboy, plus a raft of fashion brands from JD Sports. And it increased its Hugo Boss holdings, bought an N Brown stake, and is currently steadily increasing its stake in ASOS.
