Digital department store Freemans is on a journey to reinvent itself as a modern pureplay retailer. So the next stage of the brand’s evolution now involves hiring agency MullenLowe.

The communications agency will be working with Freemans “on the next steps of its journey to the be the digital department store of choice”.

A transition that started over two years ago and has seen Freemans more than double its sales and triple its customer base, moves to the next stage, with MullenLowe introducing the first in a series of 360-degree campaigns set to launch later this year.

MullenLowe will work alongside Freemans’ media agency iProspect to “translate into customer facing and operational comms across all of the digital multi-category retailer’s touchpoints”.

Richard Cristofoli, Chief Customer Officer at Freemans said: “In [the last few years] we have completely reimagined what Freemans stands for today, introduced amazing designer exclusives from the likes of Julien Macdonald, Abigail Aherne and TV stylist Mark Heyes as well as delivering a growth performance we are all incredibly proud of.

“However, now is not the time to stand still and we are delighted to partner with MullenLowe to help us on the next part of our journey and to firmly underpin our ambition to be the UK’s digital department store of choice.”
